TESTIMONIALS
"A challenge worth undertaking and completing"
"I am a retired Registered Nurse of 38 years with 16 years in rehabilitation. It is my pleasure to speak on Heather regarding her leadership abilities and knowledge of her skills and profession. Indeed a 'people person' and teacher. She is dedicated to helping others and a pure joy to know. She gives her all to making sure goals and positive outcomes are achieved to the best of her abilities. As a recurring rehab patient, I have been priviledged to work with Heather for 3 years and am aware that she is a caring family person, working for the best outcome for you or your loved one, always going above and beyond the norm. Working with Heather was definately a challenge worth undertaking and completing." -E.R.
"My angel disguised as a therapist"
"I met Heather in early spring this year. I was weak, unable to walk, stand and capped off with deep depression and frustration. I had been ill for so long there simply wasn't any hope, as far as I was concerned. Little did I know the impact this team would have on me. The very first day I was greeted with warmth, optimism, support and I had this feeling of being safe; albeit I was cautiousabout feeling too safe. Time and hard work changed that.Heather was relentless in her determination in helping me heal. She would go through the steps of each new level, pushing me but not overwhelming me. She considered the 'whole' me, not just helping me get well physically but she was cognizant of my emotional state, fear, lack of confidence in my own ability. That was probably my biggest stumbling block and she realized that long before I did. This amazing team was thoroughly invested in me, engaged in every step of progress and Heather would remind me that there was no failure, not if I tried. I learned to stop saying I can't, replacing it always with I'll try. Funny the difference the switch of those two words can make. Since my time with her I've learned to love therapy and exercise, seeking out extra opportunities for working out, embracing this gift of a fresh start and life change. Her yoga class is my favorite, something I never considered for me. So much learned about myself and what I could do with the support, cheerleading, love and dedication of this group. I call them my angels disguised as therapists. Each have become so dear and a blessing I never expected. Heather is more than my therapist, she is my friend, encourager and sometimes confidante' on those especially challenging days. No matter the kind of day I'm having, I leave therapy, recharged, reenergized and ready to face whatever is next. Many many thanks to Heather for the opportunity and privilege of working with her. God is good, sending the right people into our life, at the right time. My heart is full" - S.P.
"She knows her job and is excellent at what she does."
"In August 2019, my husband was brought to a facility for therapy. I had earlier experience with Heather, just a year and a half before, when she was my mother's therapist. Mama, was very tiny and at 93, I didn't expect a lot for Mama. But with Heather's help she was able to reach again without being afraid. A year and half later my husband has back surgery and could barely move. Heather, taught him not to be afraid, and how he can reach, move, and do for himself. Just a couple of weeks working with him, she looks at me and tells me he just isn't right. She said 'you go the his surgeon tomorrow and I want you to take pictures of everyplace I point to and show his doctor'. I did and thanks to Heather, I still have my husband with me. The surgeon ordered an MRI, came to me and said 'I'm doing emergency surgery'. I didn't understand why but he informed me my husband's C disc were so messed up that he could die. This surgeery was very hard on him and upon returning to rehab there was Heather, ready to show him he could do things he didn't think he could do again. Heather, has this smile that just makes you feel comfortable, and she didn't push him beyond his limits. She worked with him, watching and waiting so see how far she could get him to go. She always made him feel confortable with everything he did and he would return to his room and tell me how good Heatheer made him feel. She showed him he could transfer with a sliding board and that she would be there if he got into trouble. He was so leery at first with everything he attempted, but with her help and guidance, he began trusting himself again. She just has a way with gaining the trust of a small frail 97 pound lady to a 6 foot 240 pound man. Would I recommend Heather Hatfield as a therapist? The answer is YES, without hesitation. I can tell you, not only with my family member, but the others I have seen Heather work with, she knows her job and is excellent at what she does." - Terri Grizzle
"We are blessed beyond measure to have her"
"Heather is not only a delightful, amazing, caring person-she is a very knowledgeable and supportive OT. She works so very well with her clients, focused and always going above and beyond to find what works for them. My precious dad always smiled when he saw her, even though occasionally he may have given her a hard time during his therapy, she always had his best interest at heart with such kindness and respect. Dad felt that with every encounter. We are blessed beyond measure to have her on our team. Many thanks and fond memories." -Tami Obranovic
